Otter Country Sports is run by field sport and fishing enthusiasts. Our team has an extensive knowledge of our products and are available to give friendly advice to all. Our shop in Honiton is owned by experienced Angler Neil Loomes. We sell a full range of fishing tackle from Greys, Abu Garcia, Penn, Mitchell, Shakespeare, Sakuma, Dynamite Baits, Marcel Van Den Eynde Baits, Mistral, Kryston, Maxima, Lureflash and plenty of more.
We also stock a range of practical outdoor Clothing, Boots and Wellies from quality brands including Muckboots, Greys and Jack Orton. We also have in store Hats, Tweeds, Gilets, Jackets and Waterproofs.
Shooting accessories from Napier, Bisley and Chelsham Leather are available both online and in the shop. Cartridges are available to buy in the shop only (to comply with licensing requirements proof of licence is required).
Fancy a days Fly Fishing in Devon for brown trout, sea trout or salmon? We have over 2 miles of the River Otter available on the picturesque Deer Park Country Hotel Estate. Day tickets and tackle hire are available from the shop plus a ghillie service or tuition can be booked.
Here in Honiton we are only 8 miles from the World Jurassic Heritage Coast with some excellent sea fishing marks such as Sidmouth, Budleigh Salterton, Beer and Branscombe. We are surrounded by beautiful countryside with Dartmoor just 15 miles to the West and Exmoor to the North - there are many Coarse Fisheries hidden away within the area, many of which have accommodation.
We also organise Clay Shooting Events on the Estate. Qualified tuition and equipment hire is available if you are new to shooting or just want to brush up your skills.
